is Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutical Biology at the University of Parma. His main research topics are
1) Phytochemical analysis of food and medicinal plants;
2) Quality control and efficacy of plant-based food supplements and botanicals.
He is actively involved in dissemination and public engagement activities regarding the relationship between plants, people and health.
He is a member of the Editorial Board of PharmaNutrition and has been Guest Editor for two special issues of Molecules (Antioxidants and Methods in Polyphenol Analysis).
Within the school he officially represents the Senate of the University of Parma.
