A better understanding of sustainability elements in food labeling through educational innovation projects
Wednesday 14 June at 11:30 am, Aula I, Plesso di Farmacia, Campus, University of Parma.
Dr Rosa Camara Hurtado, from the University of Madrid, will hold the seminar:
"A better understanding of sustainability elements in food labeling through educational innovation projects"
European initiatives are being developed for a transparent and credible sustainability-labelling framework easy to understand by consumers.
Education play a key role in providing a basic understanding of food-related aspects of sustainability in order to promote the transition towards more sustainable food systems. In this sense, Educational innovation projects (Service-Learning methodology) aimed at students and the general public raise awareness and understanding of labelling to enable consumer choice based on knowledge.
